• If you are an avid gamer who loves puzzle-solving, this next iPhone game is just for you. Meet The Impossible Game, a game that is allegedly impossible to solve. This game is actually very simple – compared to other 3D puzzle games and iPhone games in general – but it will keep you going for hours before you can crack one level.

As I said earlier, this game is actually very simple. All you have to do is keep an orange square moving for as long as possible without hitting spikes or plunging into one of the black pools. The only problem is that if you crash, you have to start from the very beginning of the level. I have to warn those of you who easily get frustrated when playing games; this game is definitely not for you if you are fond of extremely difficult puzzles.

The game control is also very simple. You can simply tap on the screen to jump over obstacles and keep the screen pressed to keep jumping or floating. Obstacles include triangles – known as spikes – unleveled terrains, and black holes.

The game is available for just $.99, and it is definitely a must-have if you love challenging puzzle games. I’ve seen players trying to solve this game for hundreds of times and still not get bored with the repetitive obstacles.

If you feel this game is too difficult to solve, you can always use the practice mode and map your moves before making your attempt to solve it.

  • We all know just how great iPhone apps are, but that is not what we are going to discuss in this article. There are several applications that are simply ambiguous, rather ridiculous if you ask me, offering features that are unusual. In my opinion, they just don’t fit any iPhone apps category. They are dead hilarious though, so I decided to bring some of them up in this article.

The first app in our lineup of iPhone apps that just don’t fit is Ask The Hoff. What this app does? It gives you the chance to ask personal, possibly life changing, questions you may have to no other than David Hasselhoff. You will get immense Hoff wisdoms ranging from “Are you kidding? Get outta here!” to “The answer is yes, trust me I’m a doctor, no not really I’m David Hasselhoff”.

Frog Box, another iPhone app that just doesn’t fit, is actually quite funny and amusing. You can either play the sample levels of Fayju Balls, or play the main game of Frog Box. The objective…well, there is no objective. All you can do is toss a dead frog around a classroom or a box. The graphics are pretty good though.

The Misfortunate Cookie – yes, similar to the fortune cookie, only the opposite – is actually quite useful, especially if you love to pull pranks on your friends and colleagues. The app will show fortune cookies, with real motivational quotes. The only difference is that you can set the app to display rather misfortunate quotes as well as add your own phrases to the mix.

  • The beauty of owning an iPhone, or iPod Touch, is the fact that you can always accessorize it to suit your personality. There are tons of iPhone accessories in store, so we decided to take a closer look at some of the best ones to get.

The iSkin Revo is among the best silicone skins to get for your iPhone. It has sleek design accents, great color tones, and of course amazing functionalities. The skin is thick enough to provide your iPhone some serious protections, but it is not thick enough to make your iPhone bulky. Perfectly designed indeed, and it will make your iPhone looks even cooler than before.

If you care about your iPhone’s shine so much, or if you simply want to keep your iPhone clean, you might want to consider getting BoxWave Screen Puffs. It is basically a puff used to clean your iPhone screen; the accessory works amazingly well, and it is designed perfectly in a keychain-like form factor so that it is still fashionable enough to carry or attach to your iPhone.

Our personal favorite is the Belkin Sport Armband for iPhone. We just love taking our iPhone when we jog in the morning, and this particular accessory is perfect for that. Attach a handset, set the Belkin Sport Armband firmly, and you are ready to go. You can listen to your favorite tunes while jogging or enjoying sports activities.

  • I was still very happy with my iPhone’s OS 3 when Steve Jobs announced iPhone OS 4 just a few weeks ago. The new installment of iPhone OS does look promising, with several new features added to the mix. What are they and will they be useful? Let’s check it out, shall we?

The biggest leap in this release of iPhone OS is of course multitasking capability. Yes, using the iPhone OS 4 you can easily switch between applications using a fluid, animated, interface. Switching between applications can be done easily and swiftly; this is among the most anticipated features everyone is expecting from iPhone and iPod Touch, although older models will not support this particular function.

Support for multitasking is just a start. You will also get a spell checker – just like the one found in iPad – plus support for Bluetooth keyboard. These two features will transform iPhone into one superbly powerful productivity device that can be used to type quick documents and emails while on the go.

Apple is also about fun, and the upcoming iPhone OS 4 offers just as much to its users. Game Center, a form of central Apple server for gaming functions, will also be part of this new iPhone OS. You will be able to store high scores, visit leader boards for different iPhone games, play with other players from all across the globe, and many more.

With all these new features offered, plus added features including enterprise control, iBooks, Enhanced Mail, and App Folders, iPhone will be a spectacular device once again.

  • Apple’s iPhone is always surrounded by rumors and interesting updates, but this next one is definitely among the most interesting one. Several rumors and comments have been reportedly made by iPhone developers and Google employees that Google Maps might come to Apple anytime soon. Apple and Google has been strengthening their relationship for quite a while now, so this particular rumor is not impossible at all.

Steve Lee of Google mentioned, and I quote, “We’re close partners with Apple, but we can’t comment on the ifs and whens [of any such deal].” This means having Google Maps on iPhone is not far from possible at all.

Although other comments from Google officials have led people to believe that there is no way Google will release Google Maps for iPhone, the rumor continues to go stronger. The latest video release of someone using Android OS on iPhone is even more surprising, providing further reassurance that we will see more Google apps on iPhone soon.

The previous Google application released for iPhone, Gmail for iPhone platform, works superbly well with the handset. Both operating systems are quite different, but they do have similarities in terms of application development approaches.

IPhone currently has tons of navigation apps already available on iTunes Store. Some of them are superbly well, including official Garmin maps designed for iPhone users. However, the free Google Maps application will certainly shatter the market of those navigation apps right away, offering better features, updated maps, and free-of-charge usage to users.
